Tech#2

L.I to talk about what vegetables and fruits we have eaten, in the past week.

Today for tech year 8's were talking about what healthy things we eat, for example, like what kind of vegetables we eat everyday, or what kind of fruit we eat everyday. As you can see I have written 3 vegetables I have eaten in the past week, and 3 fruits I have eaten in the past week as well. My favorite fruit out of the 3 fruits I have written were guava's.

Tech

L.I to translate the words from Maori to English

This week for tech, our cooking teacher Mrs. Heka. Me and my two Friends completed this DLO. All we needed to do was put the Maori words besides/under the number, then once we've done that we would translate that word into English and place it under the Maori word. It was very easy to translate, and it was also very easy because me and my friends help each other on this task.

Season Description

L.I To paint a picture with your words to describe the setting

Our challenge this week was to create a description about the online game season in the picture. As you can see on the left I have written sentence's about 'why does epic games change the seasons every 2-3 months?'. So I have explained in the text box, why epic games changes the seasons every 2-3 months, when they change the seasons, and what they replace. I found this very interesting to talk about because I got to  learn more about this game than I already knew.

Skin Profile

L.I To describe your favorite online gaming character

Today I have created a DLO about my favorite skin from Fortnite(not our actual skin, that's what it's called in Fortnite). As you can see I have made a text box on the left side, and in that text box is a paragraph. And I have also put an explanation in the paragraph about who the black Knight is from Fortnite, what he likes, what he does, and what his favorite emote is from Fortnite. as you can see I have drawn a picture of who the Black Knight looks like.

Coordinates

L.I To use your knowledge of coordinates to answer the question and find the locations on the map.

This week for math's we did coordinates, but on the Fortnite map. All I needed to do was find out what the answer was, write the answer down, then move onto the next question.

Design Console

L.I To design and label your ultimate gaming setup and controller

Today I have designed my own gaming setup. As you can see I have drawn a PS4, PS4 controller, T.V, Cords, And lastly the power point. I have also made a carpet under the T.V. It was really easy to create this using google draw. All I did was add the square box, and make it look like a T.V, after that I used curve to make it look like cords were hanging from the T.V, then I used Polyline to create the carpet, then I used curve again to create the controller(and I also used some shapes, and polyline), and lastly I used the square and the line to make it look like there's a power socket.

Cinquain Poem

LI: To write a cinquain poem that describes a character from your favorite online game

Today I have created a Cinquain Poem about my favorite Fortnite character, which is The Black Knight. As you can see I have told you his name, how he is, what he does, and who he is. I only like this skin because of how apprehensive he is, and because of the colors he has, which are red and black(My favorite colors).

What are V-Bucks?

L.I To explain what v-bucks are in exactly 25 words

Today I have created a DLO showing what V-bucks are, what they can do, and lastly, 'how are v-bucks like the real world money?'. As you can see on the bottom left, it says 'what are v-buck'. I have written an explanation on what v-bucks are, and I have also put an explanation on 'How are v-bucks like the real world money'. It was really fun writing this task, and talking about the famous Tim Sweeney. If you didn't know Tim Sweeney receives about $7.4 billion dollars, and this makes him the richest man, in North Carolina.

Cooking class

This week for tech, the year 8's did cooking. As you can see me and the rest of the year 8's have cooked hotcakes. It was really easy to make, I really enjoyed making this. I also added some icing sugar, Maple Syrup, and Chocolates in/on my hotcakes. When I finished making this I gave my hotcakes to my two little brothers cause I couldn't eat it. And after I finished cooking I washed the dishes and dried them. I really enjoyed making this because it was really fun, I've never cooked hotcakes before(I'm not a fan of pancakes).

Character Excitement Chart

L.I To explore how events in a story can change the emotions of a character.

Our task was to create an excitement chart to plot the level of action and character’s emotions over time in our manga stories.

Cinquain Poem

L.I to write a Cinquain poem to describe an anime character

This week we have been exploring the world of anime and manga. Our challenge today was to write a cinquain poem to help us strengthen our connections to description that describes our favourite anime/manga character. A cinquain poem has 5 lines. Each line has a different purpose. Line 1 is a noun which is a name. Line 2 has 2 adjectives taht describe the noun. Line 3 has 3 verbs that end in ‘ing’ and describe the actions. Line 4 is a noun phrase which is a group of words (not a sentence) that go together to describe the noun. Line 5 is a synonym which is a word with a similar meaning to the noun.

List Poem

L.I to write a list poem that describes a topic by painting a picture with your words.

Today we wrote list poems about an anime character. Our challenge was to use descriptive language features to paint a clear picture with our words. I enjoyed completing this task along with my friend, It was really fun to talk about my character, and to talk with my friends while still doing my work.

6 sentence

L.I Use 6 sentences to set up the structure of a narrative

Today I have made a doc about who my character is, what he does, what his talent is, what the problem is to the character I am describing, what feeling about the problem he used against him, and lastly the solution he used against him. It was really fun creating this, I really enjoyed talking about my favorite character from Jujutsu Kaisen, and I also enjoyed writing this along with the help of my sister.

Manga/Anime Comic

L.I to illustrate our writing in the style of Manga/Anime.

Our challenge for today was to turn our 6 sentence story into a manga comic strip. I did not collaborate with anyone. This took a very long time to create(Cause I was gonna draw it on paper but it looked wrong so I decided to do it on google draw) but I still did it anyways. My favorite picture I drew was the picture on the middle left, I love how the hair is laid out, and how I made the cursed spirit. I mostly draw Gojo then any other anime character cause he is actually my favorite.

Anime Maths#1

L.I To use the most efficient strategy to find the answer

This week our LS2 teachers have made an anime week for us students in LS2. So this Doc is about anime, but math's. So as you can see, there are questions, and I have put my answer on the end of the sentence for all of them. I have also put what strategy I used for each answer/question, to me I find it easier to use. I really enjoyed completing this task because it was very easy, and because I was watching anime while doing this task.

History of Manga

L.I to read for meaning and understanding

Our challenge today was to complete a reading comprehension about the history of Manga to show that we are reading for meaning and understanding. Our final challenge in this activity was to create a DLO to share the information we found out.

Anime/Manga Character Profile

L.I To create a character profile

Our challenge was to choose our favorite anime/manga character. Our next challenge was to draw the character on our chrome books or on paper. I chose to draw my character on paper because I don't draw well on chrome book, and I knew I'd draw better on paper. So as you can see on the right, I have created a textbox about who Gojo Satoru is, when he was born, and who the authors are of his voice. I really like the Japanese voice, I'm not really a fan of English dubs on anime. I also forgot to say that Gojo Satoru is the most strongest Jujutsu sorcerer. He is only strong because of his power.

Manga Artist

L.I To read for meaning and understanding

Our challenge today was to use our smart searching skills to create a DLO in our own words that tells us about the life of our favorite manga artist or a well known manga artist. Today I talked about Gege Akutami, the creator of the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga. As you can see I have put who and where Akutami is from, then I have put a photo of my favorite manga book (there are a lot of jujutsu Kaisen manga books he has created, and I have chosen this one) from Akutami. Sadly he is taking a break from making more pages on his books because of the sickness he has caught.

Geometry #4

L.I To understand the properties of 2D shapes

This week for math's we were focusing on geometry. All I did on this google doc was define what the words mean, then when I finished defining what the words meant I drew some pictures on the right hand side. It was really easy to draw the pictures, and it was also easy to find out what the words meant at the end.

Summary DLO

L.I to explain in fewer words what the text is about.

This week for reading we focused on Rangi Haira Jaxon Greening, and his very amazing shoe customizations. Rangi Haira Jaxon Greening is a 44 year old man, and he customizes shoes, but not for his passion for art and sneakers, but to show the world what his culture is and what it represents. I have created a sneaker about what I like, and I have created a summary about who the article is about.

Customized shoe

This week for reading we created a shoe. My shoes was based off of Gojo Satoru, because he is my very first favorite characters from Jujutsu Kaisen. The reason why we customized our shoe was because we did it for this man, and his name is Rangi Haira Jaxon Greening. Rangi Haira Jaxon Greening is a very famous guy for customizing shoes.

Famous Artwork

L.I To create a google presentation about the person who created the painting I re-painted

This week I have created a google presentation about a person who created a very famous painting, and his name is Edvard Munch. As you can see in my google presentation I have made the first slide that says "Who is Edvard Munch", the second slide that says" Why did he create the picture?", the third one is about "Where is Edvard Munch's picture right now", and lastly 5 interesting facts about Edvard Munch.

I found this activity very interesting because I got to learn who painted the picture "The scream" and I also got to learn who Edvard Munch was.

Online Maths#3

L.I To create a DLO showing how you got you're answer

I have created a Presentation on how I wok my answers out with the strategy I use. This was the most easiest strategy to use in my opinion, and for me. I could have done just my groups math, but I wanted to do all of them. As you can see on the bottom left, I have written the way I did it in words, and on the bottom right there is a picture, that picture is about how I worked it out in numbers. The ones that are circled in red are the answers. I found this strategy I used more better and easy. And for this math's we were talking about 'how many words did Mele write on week 4,5,3 etg.

Online writing

L.I To create a poem of what you miss and what you don't miss

Today for this activity, I created a Hello/Goodbye poem. This poem I have created is about what I miss and what I don't miss. If you would like to see my poem, the link will be down the bottom. I have created this about what I love to do, like for example I love to help my aunty, because everyone else is at work. I love to do my chores at home, for example like washing the dishes, vacuuming the floor, washing my little brothers in the bath while my parent cooks dinner, and others. I really enjoyed doing this task because I got to talk about what I love the most and what I don't love

Online Math#5

L.I to find a strategy that works best for me

Today for math, I was talking about 'how many pencils will he have left' or 'how much did it cost to pay for 6 packets of pencils', this was sorta confusing to me but I got it. As you can see I have put an understanding on how I did it on the left side, and how I worked it out. The top right photo is about how many pencils are left, and on the bottom right is how much money he got back, and how much money CJ used.
I found this activity really interesting because most of the times I actually get math but this time it just confused me.

Online Maths#1

L.I To create a DLO showing how you got you're answer

Today for math's, we did counting walls and roofs. As you can see on my presentation, it shows you how I worked my answer, and what strategy I used. And on the left it tells you how I worked it out in words.

I really enjoyed creating this DLO about maths, it was really fun to write aswell

Online Maths#1

L.I To share the strategy I use

Today for Math's, we focused on 'how many handshakes would there be' and some others. As you can see I have made some sentences for you guys to read, so you know how my strategy works. And i have also put on the right side, how I worked it out in Numbers.
I really enjoyed doing this because I learn a new strategy.

Origami

Today I have created a origami, I learnt how to create this from a Youtube video, It was really easy creating this origami, and it was also pretty frustrating to concentrate, while my brothers were fighting. But other than that, I really enjoyed creating this origami.

Bees

L.I To create a DLO about the three bees role, and what they do as there role

Today for this activity, I was talking about bees, and what there jobs are as a bee. There are three types of bees, working bees, Drone bees, and the Queen bee. All three of these bees have a role, and I have written there roles on the DLO.

The only bees that can do the drone part, are males, since there the only ones that can mate with the Queen bees.

If you didn't know, some bees are afraid of wasp bees.

I found this activity very interesting because I got to learn about what there roles are, and what they do.

Wednesday, 18 August 2021

Equivalent Fractions

L.I To understand what an equivalent fraction is

This DLO shows what I have created to understand what an equivalent fraction is. I understood how to equivalent fractions, and to expand it, by expanding our equivalent fractions, I used the timetables, the timetables I used for this question were the 2 timetables.
I found this activity really interesting because I got to learn how to expand equivalent fractions.

good winners and good losers

Good athletes train mentally and physically because both the body and the mind should be strong in order to have balance as an athlete. It's important to celebrate the success that you have earned, however it is just as important to embrace the times where we are less successful. What really makes you stronger mentally and physically is the time you take to learn from losing to learn from your mistakes. When something doesn't go as planned or takes an unexpected turn, it may be frustrating or stressful to fail but you can stay calm and confident. By having belief in yourself and having the support you need from family and friends, you keep yourself motivated to push yourself to success.

Flowchart

L.I To see and understand the connection and between the written code, the block and the flowchart,
This is the comparison between the Python coding , the blocks and the flowchart for making the Microbit act like a dice. Something I found interesting about expericing the Python coding is being able to understand the written codes and asking for help even when I am not confident. Something I learnt about Python coding is to understand the simple codings its trying to tell me to do.

Mindfulness

L.I to practice mindfulness

Today, we focused on mindfulness and having a peaceful mental well-being. Sometimes, our mind isn’t concentrating well and is doing something called ‘mind wandering’. We calmed ourselves down by using the Pause, Breathe and Smile method.

Mindfulness is calming your body and your mind, focusing on your mental health, focusing on what’s happening right now, removing the negativity from your mind and being mindful of yourself and others. Mindfulness is a way to balance the 4 pillars of your hauora.

Often in a frustrating situation, our mind enters the red zone. The red zone is when we feel angry, anxious, frustrated, irritable, stressed, overly excited, worried, distracted or any other negative emotion that we usually cannot control. We use a mindfulness technique which helps us to be calm, clear, content, balanced, peaceful, relaxed, curious and engaged in what we are doing.

This session of mindfulness was helpful because it can help yourself and others become calm in stressful situations as well as focus on what is happening right now and being aware of your emotions.

New Zealand's First Olympians

L.I to Create a small brochure(Information) of our first Olympians.

Today for this activity me and my group were required to create a small information brochure, of our first Olympians.

Me and my group each talked about one of the Olympic player's.

These Olympic players are New Zealand’s first Olympic athlete’s. If you didn’t know, Violet Walrond was New Zealand’s first female Olympian, She was only 14 when she got selected to be an Olympian, and she was 15 when swam at the 1920 Antwerp games.

Flowcharts and Radio Chat

L.I To understand how flowcharts relate to coding blocks.

To understand how to get the microbit to talk to another microbit using radio signals

Here is the link to my flowchart practice document

Link to DLO

The next activity today was coding the microbit to send a radio signal to another microbit. We had to make sure that both microbits were on the same group number so we didn't accidently get a message from another group.

This week for coding our lesson was about flow charts and radio chat. We were working with the microbits. Our task for today were split into two. Our first part of the task was to complete the flow charts with different coding shapes. The next part of the task was about trying to code out microbit to send radio signals  to another micro bit. For this part of the task we had to work in partners. We need to make sure both microbits were on the same group number so we didn't accidentally get a message from another group.

Current events

LI: To find the important information in a current event

LI: To identify author’s purpose

Today for this activity, me and my group were required to talk about what the olympics games. As you can see, i chose to talk about the 'youngest athletes', but i was mostly talking about Kokona Hiraki. Kokona Hiraki is japan's youngest summeer olympian. After she finsihed coming fifth at the dew tour event, Hiraki got qualified for the olympics, and was final tokyo games qualifier womens park skateboarding.

Matariki

L.I To strengthen our connections to Matariki

Matariki is the Maori new year celebration. It takes places each year when the cluster of stars known as Matariki are seen in our skies. The new year is a time for new beginnings and is a time to embrace tradition.
To strengthen our connections to Matariki we had a choice of research activities.
I found out that Matariki only shows up on the latest june, and i also found out that he got his eyes from tawhirimatea because tawhirimatea got angry and threw his eyes into the sky.

Envy

L.I To edit our writing using DRAFT

An abstract noun is something that can’t be physically touched, as in a feeling (Happiness, fear, love, etc.

This week LS2 have been learning about Metaphors and Abstract Nouns.

This poem has been created by me and my  pair,  for this poem we were asked to use DRAFT(Delete, , Rearrange, Add, Fix, Talk) in our poem.

We used the 5 senses(Smell, hear, taste, feel and see), Punctuation( , .)& Complex( it when u add 2 ideas together, and one idea doesn't make sense without the other idea)Sentences.

Cybersmart

L.I To show what we do in our history.
This week for cybersmart me and my pair were required to create a DLO on what we do for 24 hours in our history, therefor the first tab I opened was google, following that I also opened my blog, my Gmail, my class site, my google drive then I opened Cybersmart. So this is all my history for the day.

Mars Rover

LI: To strengthen connections to technology

In Inquiry we have been learning about technological practice.  This week we have been learning about the 6 processes of Technological Design and how each one is important in the process of designing a product.

We are using the processes of technological practices to  design and build a rubber band- powered rover that can scramble across the floor. (add your ATV challenge here).

I found this activity interesting because I learnt why we need to follow the six technology topics.

Rock Paper Scissors shoot!!!!

L.I To learn how to code the Microbit to play Rock paper scissors and understand how the flowchart matches the code.

1. When I shake the Microbit, it will choose a random number between 1 and 3

2. I have to make a variable called hand and set this to the random number👀👀👀

3.If the number is 1- the Microbit will show the symbol for paper

4.If the number is 2-the Microbit will show the symbol for rock.

5. If the number is 3- the Microbit will show the symbol for scissors.

Something I found interesting about doing this task, is being able to understand the steps of coding.

Trust poem

L.I To write an abstract noun senses poem

Today for writing, me and my group were required to pick a word from a google presentation, me and my group picked the word " Trust", the reason why me and my group picked the word "trust" was because it was a easy word to talk about and because it is a very strong word. In this poem, me and my group were also required to use the 5 senses. The 5 senses are smell, look, taste, hear and feel, these are the senses we used in our poem.

something that i found interesting was that we could take our writing to another level we could use a lot of different language features it was a fun piece of writing.

Main ideas

L.I To identify the main ideas in the text

For reading we have been focusing on the Maui and Sun story. Our task was to identify the main ideas in the text. Our information we have gathered together is our opinions we have mixed together to create a more explained main ideas. Something we learnt from this activity is to read the text and identify all the different main ideas we might find important to vital. Something we found interesting about this activity is being able to identify the main ideas of a text.

Venn Diagram

LI: To explain in fewer words what the text is about.

For reading, we have been focusing on comparing text information such as stories, articles and other texts. The text we used for this reading task was the traditional Maori story of how the world came to be. This text was about Papatuanuku and Ranginui waking up from eternal darkness in earth's first light, and Tane Mahuta (one of their children) seperating them to grant his siblings and himself freedom from the darkness. Tawhirimatea was angry at the separation of his parents.

For this task, we watched a video and read a text based off of the Maori story of how the world came to be (In the Beginning). We labelled the main parts of the video version that are not included in the written version, and labelled the main prts of the written version that were not included in the video. In the middle, we labelled the similarities between the two stories.

I really enjoyed this task and found it easy because I am familiar with identifying the key ideas and comparing the two similar but different texts/information sources.

Descriptive Writing

L.I To create a descriptive writing about what we see in the ocean

Our focus for writing this week was to use descriptive writing, which means using words that are powerful, making your text more exciting to read and add more detail into your writing. We were tasked to work collaboratively in pairs to complete this task. Our task was to describe one of the two pictures that we were given. To make this task easier we would use our prior knowledge of sentence structures, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and descriptive words to create a piece of writing that uses descriptive words to make the text exciting to read.

Summarising

L.I To explain in fewer words what the text is about

For reading, we have been focusing on summarizing text information such as stories, articles and other texts. The text we used for this reading task was the traditional Maori story of how the world came to be. This text was about Papatuanuku and Ranginui waking up from eternal darkness in earth's first light, and Tane Mahuta (one of their children) separating them to grant his siblings and himself freedom from the darkness. Tawhirimatea was angry at the separation of his parents.

For this task, we found exactly twenty keywords to build an understanding of the text about. Keywords help us understand more in a short amount of time. Then from those twenty words, we chose six of those words to create a summary on. A summary is a short and brief description of the story so that we can understand the text in fewer words.

I enjoyed this task and found it easy because I am familiar with summarizing and understanding texts using the key reading comprehension strategies so I can expand my knowledge of a story.

Flowcharts and coding

L.I To learn how to use flowcharts to plan coding

This week for coding at tech is about flowcharts and dice. I've learnt a lot about flowcharts and coding the past few weeks, and I've been building my coding skills too. Something I found interesting about coding is learning to make a flowchart about the task we are focusing on. Something I learnt about coding this week is using my knowledge I already know about coding and it really helps me.

Sir Isaac Newton Presentation

L.I learn about Sir Isaac Newton

This week in Reading, LS2 has been working towards Simple Machines. Apart of this, we were required to learn about Isaac Newton. Isaac Newton is a physicist, mathematician, theologian and a Astronomer. We were also required to create a DLO with the following questions: Why is his work important? What did he find out? How does his work connect to simple machines?

I found this DLO really interesting because I learnt about who Sir Isaac Newton is, and what he did for a living.

Descriptive Sentences

L.I To understand how to use descriptive words.

For this activity we were required to work in pairs. As you can see me and my pair wrote down some descriptive sentences, the box on the left are just some of the ones our teacher gave us, and on the right are the ones me and my pair created. All we needed to do for this DLO was to just describe what that word meant. The words in red color, are the words we were describing in a sentence.

Sequencing sentences

LI: To understand how to sequence ideas.

Today for this activity, we worked in pairs. So as you can see me and my pair made two text boxes, the top one is the one we needed to fix and the bottom one is the right one, all we did was just put the sentences in the right order.

Current Events

LI: To find the important information in a current event.

LI: To identify the author's purpose.

This week for Reading we learnt about author's purpose. Authors write for a purpose/reason. These reasons are to Persuade, Inform, Explain or Entertain (PIE). First we looked at Kiwi Kids News to find a article. Then, we made a copy of the Current Events DLO and answered these questions:
  • What is the article about?

  • When the article was created?

  • Where was the article was made?

  • Why the author wrote the article?

  • How it was made?

  • Why do you think the author wanted you to learn from the article?

I found this activity really interesting to explore, because I found out about the drones in UAE(United Arab Emirates), and what they do.

Student led conferences

L.I To share our learning with our families

The student led conferences is something I have never done before, I mean I have done it before but that was in Maori. I got up to my classroom and I already seen some of my friend's in there, showing their parents their work.

When we got in the classroom I started off by introducing my parents (Max and Leah) to my teachers, and my teachers(Mrs Dianne Fisi'iahi and Mrs Robyn Anderson) to my parents. When I introduced my parents to my teachers, we started to look at my learning.

When we finished looking at my learning I showed him my C.A.R.E Awards, I could see the proudness on my dads face.

Being a Jedi in coding

L.I To code the robot to move backwards, without touching it to be a Jedi
What is Baby Yoda's real name? The Mandalorian creators want to keep you guessing - ABC News

My robot will wait until I have pressed the onboard button before it does anything.
We used an "IF-THEN-ELSE" block, as this gives the robot two choices of things to do.
We are using the ULTRASONIC SENCOR on the front of the robot and we need to sense if something is 10cm in front of it. If something is 10cm or less on front of the robot, it will move backwards. IF something is NOT less than 10cm in front of the robot, it will move forwards ( ELSE). This is all put into a forever block so that the robot constantly senses what is in front of it.

L.I To make a DLO on a Respected Leader

Today I completed a C.A.R.E Award. This C.A.R.E Award was really easy to create, all I had to do was talk about Jacinda Ardern, and as you can see I was talking about, who are her parents, 4 facts about Jacinda Ardern, and lastly, I talked about, where she grew up.
I found this C.A.R.E Award really interesting to do because, I learnt about Jacinda's parents, and what she did before she was a government.

Cinquain Poem

L.I To write a cinquain poem to describe a sports star

We have been learning to write cinquain poems to help us strengthen our connections to description. A cinquain poem has 5 lines. Each line has a different purpose. Line 1 is a noun which is a name. Line 2 has 2 adjectives that describe the noun. Line 3 has 3 verbs that end in ‘ing’ and describe the actions. Line 4 is a noun phrase which is a group of words (not a sentence) that go together to describe the noun. Line 5 is a synonym which is a word with a similar meaning to the noun.
I enjoyed this activity because, I was talking about my favorite sports star

My Reading Pathway

L.I To show my personal journey through books

This week is book week at Panmure Bridge School, which means every class participates in a number of reading activities. One of our activities was to create a reading pathway that shows how my favorite books have changed over time. At the moment I like reading the hunger games book because this book teaches me how to survive a game with one weapon.

Kiwikids News, is basically about what has happened today or last week, And as you can see I was talking about NASA. It was really fun talking about NASA cause I just found out who " Bennu" Is, If you didn't know who bennu is, Bennu is a Asteroid, and bennu is 4.5 Billion years old.
I found this activity really fun because I got to learn about NASA, and what they did.

My passion-C.A.R.E Award

L.I To write what my personal passion is and why

This activity I am talking about is my personal passion. This is a C.A.R.E Award task. This task was really easy to do because all I had to do was make a DLO on my personal passion, my personal passion is drawing, but the only thing I can draw is just anime characters, I tried to draw other things but it was very hard for me, so then I just drew anime characters instead.

This C.A.R.E Award was really fun to make because I got to tell others what my personal passion is.

Soccer

On Wednesday some of the year 7&8 boys and girls had a soccer game, and that soccer game was on Madills Farm.

The year 7 and 8 girls & boys, had their first game against Stonefield, Me and the rest of the year 7 and 8 girls played on pitch 2 and pitch 3. The boys played against other boys from different schools, while me and my group went against the Stonefield girls and the Ruapotaka girls. We were supposed to go up against Sylvia park school but then they left early so then we went up against Glen Brae, their school had a lot of tall people, but we didn't get any scores against them. So when the bell rang there we all got our backs packed and put it on the bus, ready to leave.

I really enjoyed playing soccer because it was a very challenging game, and it was also really fun to play against other schools.

Silver confidence award/How to stand up to bullies.

L.I To create a DLO on how to stand up to bullies.

This activity is for  confidence CARE award badge.

For this activity I needed to do a DLO on" How to stand up to bullies". So on the right I'm talking about where you could be bullied and why, and on the left there are bullet points about what you should do if a bully bullies you. And I also researched some of words.

I really liked this activity because this could help others that are getting bullied, and it can teach people how to prevent bulling or how to stop it from getting more bigger.

Labelled Diagram of an inclined plane

LI: To read for meaning and understanding
LI: To use smart searching skills

Today for this activity me and my group made a Diagram of an Inclined Plane. For this DLO we all needed to make our own Diagram or we could have done one as a group but we all wanted to do one on our own, So as you can see this is my diagram of an Inclined plane, me and my group also labelled the objects and person.
I really enjoyed this activity because I found out about what an Inclined Plane is.
